David has Fun!!!

I've been looking forward to this first weekend in August that we would get to come to SC to see Jared and Alice as they passed through on their way back to CA. Of course I was so glad to see them and the rest of the Jacobs family but I was especially excited that David would finally get to relax and have some fun! Evident from his whiteness, he doesn't get away from the Wake Forest Eye Center very often. We did have a fun weekend swimming and going out on the waverunner. As cautious as David is about health issues you would think this would carry over to his concern for his wife in my "frail" state. We went out on the waverunner together. I drove first. I went fast but avoided sharp turns and big waves not wanting to bouce the baby too much. Then David drove and within a minute he had turned sharp and we both flew off. He was trying to see if this one could spin out like the one they had in highschool. Some things never change.

So glad to be with Daddy

Girls Camp 2008 "Everyday Heroes"

5 months pregnant and dressed as Spidergirl for the Girls Camp skit night.
So I guess I'll make this my official blog announcement that Baby #3 is on the way. Pretty sad I know that I am already 5 months and this is HER debute. Yes, we are having another girl. Due to arrive on December 10. I guess this is what happens to the third child.

"Walk like an Egyptian" just one of many dances I did across the stage. I also danced to Billy Jean, Can't Touch This, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Evidently I made everyone in the audience nervous when I jumped off the stage with my big belly after each song. I couldn't help getting into the moment.

Pati and Elisa were two of the seven girls that I went to Girls Camp with from the Salem Branch

Eating a worm. If you ever get yourself into this predicament make sure you fry it and then smother it in syrup. Swallow, do not chew!

I had so much fun at girls camp. I want to sign up for every year. I was anxious about leaving the kids but once I got there I had a blast. It was wonderful to have meals delivered to your table: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Emma and I had a great time staying up and chatting at night. And all of the girls from the Salem Branch were so much fun! We swam, hiked, made crafts, looked at stars, sang! It was great!!!

Party #2

We celebrated Ella Joy's 2nd birthday with her bestfriends Clara, Elena, and Reese. We had cupcakes and played in the pool and in the moonbounce. Ella Joy loved diving headfirst into the baby pool.

Party #1

KiKi threw a party for Ella Joy before we went back to NC. Ella Joy was so excited about the cake she couldn't wait for singing, candles, or a knife to cut it. She just started eating. It was so cute!

South Carolina

In June Noah, Ella Joy and I stayed with Dean and the kids. We had a great time swimming, playing on the lake, visiting the zoo, and getting caught up on all the new summer movies. It was sad to go. Noah loves hanging out with the kids. I had serious Dean withdraw when I left. He is so much fun! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful father-in-law.

Isle of Palms

Isle of Palms is one of my favorite places to visit. We stay in our beach house ,"O Happy Days," that my grandfather built in 1964. It is a true beach house. Sand on the floors, in the showers, and if you share your bed with your kids it is usually on the sheets too. It is right on the beach and just absolutely beautiful. When the tide goes down the ocean leaves huge tide pools that the kids love to swim in. My favorite time on the beach is 7pm when the sun is starting to set, it is not too hot, the kids are digging in the sand, and I just get to sit and enjoy the beauty. I love it!!!

Lots of News and One Last

Our new car!

My new haircut.

Our new friend who was hiding under David's car this morning. David chased him down with Noah's help (who was in his undies, of course) all over the neighborhood til the poor little guy tired out and let David pick him up. We put in the backyard with celery and water.

Noah's last day of kindergarten, a little different from the first.
