Taking Care of Georgia

Ella Joy introducing all of her ponies to her new sister.
She sat here for an hour telling her their names, colors,
and singing pony songs.
She said, "Mom, I'm doing discoveries with Baby Georgia."

Being cared for by all of our stuffed animals

Once again the doting older sister.
I truly am grateful for Ella Joy. She is absolutely in love with Georgia.
And I can trust her to take good care of her. She constantly sings to her, talks to her, gives her the paci.
Julia is a little dangerous when she comes in close contact with Georgia (pulling limbs, poking eyes, hitting)but she is a great when I ask her to get a diaper and wipes. She runs as fast as she can to retrieve them. Hopefully the jealousy thing will pass soon.

This is what we call the "magic snowsuit."
My mom bought it and I really think it must have magical powers.
We put it on Georgia at night and she almost instantly falls asleep.
Better yet it keeps her asleep for most of the night.

One of my oh so responsible male caretakers.

And his oh so responsible father.

Georgia has survived her first month. Hooray!

Happy New Year 2011

New Year's Eve
Worn out after a night of dancing, fondue, and shooting fireworks.
Our first family photo with all 6 of us-- a miracle that no one is screaming.

Happy New Year !

Christmas 2010

Classic Christmas morning photo on the stairs.
This is the only picture I have from the morning.
I must have been tired or thinking about how David would be leaving in 2 hours to go to work, yes on Christmas morning, and I would be alone with all 4. Still getting used to the craziness.

What I remember:
Ella Joy was really upset that she didn't get the porcelain tea set in the picnic basket like she had asked for. Note to her future husband: Get her exactly what she asks for. Do not try to skimp and save $20 bucks. It is not worth it.
Julia could care less about her gifts. She walked around looking for candy that the others had dropped out of their stockings.
Noah was very surprised with his Wii Madden game and said it was the best day of his life.

Opening the package from Aunt KiKi
We were so excited about all the goodies.
We sat around for an hour tasting everything!

Opening gifts from Papa Dean and Grandma Wanda

Gift cards are the best!!!

Georgia Kate is here!

All 9.1 lbs of her!

Jenny's doing well. I'm not sure why she chose to deliver her biggest baby without an epidural, but I'm very proud of her.

We feel very blessed.
Thank you to Grandma Christie for watching everyone during the delivery.

Happy 2nd Birthday JuJu

JuJu turned 2 today!
We are so happy to have her home.
She is such a character.
She loves everyone--especially men.
Everyone we pass at the store or on a walk gets a big wave.
Then she blows kisses as we depart from them.
She doesn't talk much but somehow gets her point across with creative signs, sounds, and other charades.
She loves to climb and jump and is quite a little gymnast.
She is definitely the family clown.
She is so good at mimicking faces--the latest being the slight smirk with folded arms of the Mr. Clean man that she always sees under the kitchen sink.
She always keeps us laughing.
Happy, happy birthday to our favorite 2 year old.
