Viva Espana

We were so excited to have a visit from Kamella and her family. Kamella was my first friend and bestfriend when I was in school in Spain. We met the second day I was there on a bus trip to Segovia. We became great friends right away and have stayed in touch over the last 10 years. Kamella and Changa have three beautiful children:Noor(5), Kareem(3), and Ali(1). They live in the United Arab Emirates but every summer they come to the U.S. to visit Changa's family. The older boy is Kamella's brother, Hussein who is 11. We had a quick but wonderful visit. We hope to make this a summer tradition.

Krista and Josh

In the middle of July we had a visit from Krista and Josh. Josh and Noah had a great time playing/fighting/playing/arguing and Krista was so much fun to have around. Ella Joy absolutely loves her. We filled each day with lots of fun activities: swimming, Twister, dancing, park hopping, card games, mound climbing, museums, jumping and Noah and Josh's favorite-- reading time. We were sad to seem them go but hope they will come back soon! Here are some of the things the kids spent their time doing.

First Birthday Celebration

On July 7 we had a First Birthday Celebration for Ella Joy and Oa. We call them the twin cousins because they were born just 1 day apart. Oa was born on July 10 and Ella Joy was born on July 11. To celebrate we had a Pool Party at Papa Dean's house with balloons, bubbles, and cherry topped cupcakes. The girls had a great time swimming, eating, and meeting their new babies.

July 4th

On July 4th we celebrated with our friends in NC. The Gee's had everyone over to their house for pizza, popsicles, and fireworks. The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline, the moonbounce, and chasing each other around the yard.
